Tight-Rope
Slide

We start on thePartner Grid (Markers are placed on the long side-lines of the room. Spaced in about 3 feet intervals, each spot has a corresponding mate on the opposing side.) Dancers meet in pairs at the center line. All dancers move on imaginary lines (ropes) from one side of the room to the opposite and back in continuous motion. The dancer in the front position leads the dance to one end of the rope. Then the pair turns 180 degrees and moves in the opposite direction.

ADD-ON OPTION:
“Mix-Up”
A MIX UP means that you leave your current partner and find a new spot on the Partner Grid. Then you meet your new partner at the center line and the dance starts again.

VARIATION:
Catching a Ride
You can allow your group to do the Tight-Rope-Slide with 3 or more people.
